The "FIRST DATE"

Benny asked Elicia out on their first date.  He said he was gonna take her to his favorite restaurant.  Little did he know that El's is Elicia's favorite restaurant as well.  It's also the place where Elicia's parents had their first date.

Like we said "FATE".

How it ALL started...

The day it ALL started!!

What can they say...it was fate!

They both have so many mutual friends that it was bound to happen.  The spring of 2009, just  Elicia Joy Bridgers had just moved back to Carteret County, NC we FINALLY met.  Thank you Chris Galiza!  Chris an old family friend of Elicia had asked her to go out in the boat one Saturday with him and some of his friends.  His friends boat that we went out on happen to be Benny's cousin's boat, Matt Frost.  On the way to the fish house, Homer Smith, where the boat was Chris mentioned that this guy, Benny, had made t-shirts that said I <3 day drinking!  Elicia just thought that was the funniest thing and had to have one!  They stopped by Matt's house and picked them up!  When they arrived at the fish house Chris introduced Benny as the guy who made the t-shirts.  Immediately Elicia ran and jumped into Benny's arms!

Benny and Elicia like to say the he just swept her off her feet!!

From that day on they were really good friends and also very stubborn because it took them a few weeks to accept fate and finally give a relationship a try.  They have been together ever since!  And loving every minute of it!

Education: Graduated from Croatan High School, 2002.  Attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, 2008.

Daughter of (Jackie) John Taylor Bridgers Sr. and the late Sylvia Elouise Green Bridgers.

Son of the late Harold Talmadge Anderson Jr. and Barbara Smith Anderson.

As you all know Benjamin Michael (Benny) and Elicia Joy (EJ) are NOT yet married, but why have two seperate blogs, one for their engagement life and wedding plans and then another for their life after they become the Anderson's.  This blog will keep you up to date on their upcoming wedding plans along with their life once they have become husband and wife!  We hope you enjoy experiencing our journey of getting married and starting our lives together as the Anderson's.
